Joyce C. Grossman, AZED Pro, Executive Director           

Course Director, AZ Basic Economic Development Course

Joyce Grossman became the Arizona Association of Economic Development’s executive director in 2011.  On behalf of AAED’s board of directors, Grossman implements and oversees AAED’s mission to serve as Arizona’s unified voice advocating for responsible economic development through an effective program of professional education, public policy, and collaboration.   

While at AAED, Grossman has been recognized as an economic development leader in Arizona.  The International Economic Development Council in 2018, appointed her Chair of the International Basic Economic Development Course Committee.  

Before AAED, Grossman was a Deputy Director with the city of Phoenix having served in departments including Equal Opportunity, Mayor’s Office and Community and Economic Development.  She holds a B.A. from University of California, Davis, a M.P.A. from Sacramento State, and is a designated Arizona Economic Development Professional.



Amber Strozier, MBA, Administrative Assistant

Amber Strozier is the Administrative Assistant for AAED, having joined the team in March 2018. She provides professional support to the daily operations of the Associations’ office, including oversight of all event registrations and event day setup. Strozier provides administrative assistance to the Executive Director and Associate Director. 
Strozier holds a B.A in Fashion Marketing and Design from American Intercontinental University and a M.B.A in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University.






Dee Dee Bark, Corporate Investment Director/Conference Coordinator, AZ Basic Economic Development Course

Dee Dee Bark serves as the Corporate Investment Director and the Conference Coordinator for AAED.  She is responsible for securing “year-round,” Spring Conference and Fall Forum sponsorships.  She provides staffing coordination for two conferences and the annual AZ Basic Economic Development Course.

Bark has worked as a Business Development and Marketing Consultant for 20 years in the Phoenix area and even owns her own company called Professional Meetings and Events.  She has served on committees and boards for many professional and civic organizations. 

Bark is a past President of AAED.  She is a graduate of the University of Arizona and is married with two grown children.  She loves golf, hiking, biking and quilting.


Lori Mann, CPA, Accountant

Lori Mann handles all the accounting needs for AAED, having joined the team in 2015.  Having worked in the membership and event arena for the past 10 years she brings a strong level of experience to the financial literacy of the organization.

Mann is a Certified Public Accountant and received her B.S. in Accounting from Arizona State University.  Go Devils!
