At Goodwill, our mission is empowering individuals, strengthening families, and building stronger communities. Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona was founded in 1947 and offers retail stores, donation centers and mission services throughout the Phoenix-metro, Northern Arizona, and Yuma areas. Goodwill provides tools and resources to help job seekers achieve employment so that they can become self-sufficient and provide a better quality of life for themselves and their families.
Goodwill’s vision is to end poverty through the power of work. With our experience and expertise in helping people achieve employment and self-sufficiency, Goodwill fights poverty by addressing two of its most significant contributors: unemployment and underemployment. Additionally, Goodwill diverts nearly 200 million pounds of materials going directly to landfills each year.
Goodwill’s mission service’s offerings include access to career development resources and connections to hiring companies, offered in-person at Goodwill Career Centers and online at MyCareerAdvisor.com. This includes Goodwill’s efforts to empower local job seekers with no-cost digital skills courses, from basic to advanced trainings, that are arming the workforce with confident, competitive, and upskilled employees. We are able to provide job seekers with the tools to feel confident, purpose-driven, and successful. Through partnerships with organizations in our community, we are building a competitive pool of job candidates, not only ready-to-hire, but also prepared to find a career they can grow with.
