Cornhole for Business …Why not?

It’s been called many things: Corn Toss, Bean Bag, Bean Toss, Soft Horseshoes, Indiana Horseshoes, but to many of us the game is referred to as Cornhole. Last year, nearly 250 economic development practitioners and providers competed and spectated at the AAED Second Annual Cornhole Tournament sponsored by Graycor. This annual event has replaced the typical golf tournament most other Arizona based organizations offer. But, why Cornhole and not golf?
3-4 hours with 250+ people vs. 5-6 hours with 3 people
Instead of a 5-6 hour scramble round spend with only 3 other ‘golfers’, a cornhole tournament allows each attendee, whether spectator or player, the opportunity to network with ALL other attendees.
Don’t need to be athletic to participate.
We love golf. It’s a fun way to spend the day with a few clients. However, like just about anyone you ask, no one will actually admit to being good at golf. Anyone can throw bags on a board. And the competition gets fierce! Some of our past winners hold company tournaments throughout the year to ensure their best team competes. Bragging is expected with Cornhole.
In this case, trendy is good!
10 years ago, only people in the Midwest even knew what Cornhole was. It’s become an acceptable business networking event and is a booming business for board makers and tournament hosts. There is even an official American Cornhole Organization (ACO) complete with a podcast.
The AAED Third Annual Cornhole Tournament will be played February 9, 2018 at the SRP Pera Club, Teams are limited and will sell out so reserve your spot today! http://bit.ly/2mFRwj6
