The EDDEs NOMINATION ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
  • Nominations may be made only by members of AAED.

  • Self nominations will not be accepted (Nominations made by an individual for themselves or by an employee of an organization for the organization)

  • Companies and individuals are not eligible to win the same award two years in a row.

  • Written and electronic nominations submitted on or before the nomination deadline will be eligible for consideration for EDDE's, Lampkin Award and Best of Arizona Award.

  • Late nominations due to reasonable uncontrollable circumstances (technological failure, mail delay, accidents, etc) may be considered for eligibility by the EDDE Task Force.

  • "Endorsement" nominations made by groups of people from different organizations may not be considered by the EDDE Task Force to be eligible nominations.

NEW MEMBER OF THE YEAR:

  • The eligibility period for New Member of the Year nominees is 18 months (July to December). Members who joined from July 2006– December 2007 are eligible for the 2008 award.
  • Members who have rejoined the organization with a new company may not be eligible for the New Member of the Year award.


JUDGING PANEL

The EDDE Judging Panel will be comprised of the following representations:

Panel should reflect geographic membership of AAED. Panel members should be comprised of at least one of the following: Past President, Current Committee Chair, Board Member, EDDE Winner, current EDDE Awards Committee member.

When voting on EDDE awards judges should recuse themselves from voting in the following circumstances:

  • The judge works for the same organization as the nominee being considered.
  • The judge is an employee, stakeholder or owner of a nominated organization being considered.
  • The judge is a nominee in the category under consideration.

Judging Panel Selection Pools is developed by the EDDE Task Force and approved by the Board of Directors.

The EDDE Chairman should serve as chair of the judging panel.

AAED President Elect should not serve on judging panel.

Voting is conducted by secret ballot. Votes are counted by Chairman and verified by another member of judging panel.
